Liam funny!

Well as a mom of two growing boys, what can she say to a comment like this!
I crouched down to help Liam put his boots on, and all of a sudden he says "Mommy that's a tunnel, see right there, that is a tunnel." He then proceeded to show me the tunnel, and demonstrate his hand going into the tunnel. Can anyone give a guess what that tunnel was?

Oh that Liam of mine!

OK......so yes I am a poor blogger. Sorry. Been so busy ever since we got back that I haven't taken the time. It is now December and only 6 days till xmas. I have no idea where the time went. Anyways..here are a few things that have happened since Kauai.
1. Halloween
Logan was a stormtrooper and Liam was a monkey! We carved pumpkins of course, and Skye's was the biggest by far. My team leader from work grows large pumpkins, and gave us one of his "small" ones, yeah, it weighed 200 lbs!

2. Liams 3rd birthday was on Nov. 22nd. We decided to have a kids birthday celebration since his birthday for the last two years was either the day before Turkey day or the day of. We had a party at the new "House of Bounce" place. It is just a huge buildings full of inflatable fun! Needless to say, they all had a great time. Liam loved his party. When all the kids sang to him his eyes just lit up. He felt very special that day!

UGGG...pictures are backwards. Still not the best blogger. Think that will be all until after xmas. I am sure I will have plenty to talk about then. Until then, hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

We like to get dirty!

Hi everyone.....today was a day of dirt, dirt and more dirt. We went ATV'ing in the hills, and boy did we get muddy! We actually were not using an actual ATV, but a mudbug. It is a two-seat dune buggy. WAY FUN! And yes, we did get muddy. They gave us clothes to wear over our swimsuits. We got to see a couple waterfalls too. And of course I have some pictures! ENJOY...

Check out this MUD!

ALERT----ALERT----I have been hijacked.

Hey everyone...just an fyi. Some of you, in fact most of you probably have received email from my account asking for money. NO I AM NOT stranded in Georgia, which I am sure you all knew, and I am working on fixing the problem. Somehow my email account has been hijacked. They changed the password on me, and I can't get back on. I think I have an alternate email on it, which might be work, but i can't seem to get connected to work either. VPN won't connect. So, working with MSN now to have them reset it and send it to another email account.
Now on to our adventures....
Not a whole lot went on yesturday other then the timeshare presentation....and me getting sick. I don't care to go any further then that, but no pictures to show you. Sorry. Today we will be going on a ATV adventure, where we drive ATV's into the depths of the forest here...we get to see 5 waterfalls, and actually swim in them. Which we will be in need of doing, since we will be getting very muddy. Thats about it....talk to you later. Mahala

Beach Blanket Bingo

Aloooooha!
Today we decided to take a trip up to the north side of the island to see Princeville and Hanalei Bay. We took the convertible which seemed fun at first until about 40 minutes into the trip...(the back seats were horribly uncomfortable). The scenery was awesome and we got to see many beaches along the way. There is only one main highway that goes around the island and it is pretty much next to the coast the whole way. I took lots of pictures along the way, so hopefully at least a few will look good =)

The pictures begin with the trip from our hotel down the road to a spot called the tunnel of trees and a shot of Kristi and I in the back seat of the mustang together. Then some pics of mountains and beaches. We stopped at Hanalei Bay but didn't actually swim there (though the water was perfect). We had a small picnic on the beach and then continued up the road about as far as we could go to another beach (the name of which I can't remember) but it was very nice, some larger waves, lots of coral and shells. This beach was set right on the edge of some cliffs on the very northernmost part of Kaua'i.

So much to type....it could be a book!

Aloha everyone, special shout out to our boys, Logan and Liam. Hi boys, LOVE YOU LOTS. I hope grandma told you what Aloha means....it is Hello in Hawaiian. So when you get to school Logan you can say Aloha to your friends and teacher.

Now....on to our small adventures.
Sorry the pictures are in reverse order. We haven't gotten this blog stuff quite mastered yet. Saturday was our lazy day, we decided to hang out at the pool to soak up some sun and rest! We all got some sun..maybe a little too much, but not that bad. Skye got a pretty picture of a flower on our resort that I thought I would put up here since it turned out so well.

We then went off to get some groceries. Prices are CRAZY on the island. We found some milk at Costco for $4.81...it was $8.00 at one of the local stores (called BIG SAVE...how funny)! After shopping, it was time to get ready for Tonya's big birthday dinner. While everyone was taking a snooze, I snuck out and found a fresh flower lai for Tonya to wear. We ate out at the Beach House, and left early to try and catch the sunset. Unfortunately it was slightly cloudy, so we really didn't see it. However, we still got great pictures. Dinner was fabulous, we had the best table in the place, and Tonya had her birthday cake!

Sunday we decided to try to see one of the local waterfalls. Opaekaa falls was the name of this particular one, and when we got there, there was a scenic overlook spot to view them from. It was a little disappointing however, since it was kind of far off and not as large as we were hoping. We still got some good pictures and afterwards decided to go exploring. We drove further up the road until we couldn't go any further...literally, since the road crossed a moving river (or rather the river crossed the road) and the only vehicles crossing were big trucks and SUVs. We parked the car and found a trail that we hiked up about 2 miles. Took some good pictures on the way up and when we reached the top we could see the ocean and some mountains for several miles.
This was where we called the boys from. There are a couple of pictures of us on the phone with Logan and Liam saying hi! See us on top of the mountain boys?!

After getting back and relaxing a bit, we got ready for the Luau (big Hawaiian feast). It was held at the Hyatt just down the beach from us. This place is absolutely gorgeous, a 5 star resort, and the Luau was top notch. The dancers and musicians were great and the food was FANTASTIC. Skye ate two huge plates...I'm not sure where he put it all, seriously. They had some nice gifts outside the luau and picked up a couple nice things (including a little something for Logan!)

Thats it for now. We are about to head out to take on the new day and make some more memories to blog about later.

ALOHA!!!!!

We are here in paradise. We got in yesterday about 5:00. Flight was LOOONNNNGGG, but definitely worth it. Tonya and I went to bed pretty early, 9:00, that is MN time of 1:00 am! And....we woke up this morning at 4:30 am, MN 8:30 am. So, schedules a little off, but I think we will adjust. Good thing is, we were up in time for the sunrise which happens around 6:30. So we went out to the point to get some pictures. However, the darn clouds were out there, so we didn't actually get a good look at it. We did take some pictures and a video. So enjoy...we certainly did while taking them. It is gorgeous here. Today's agenda really is just hanging out by the pool, catching some rays, having a few drinks and RELAXING. We have dinner plans tonight because we are celebrating Tonya's big BIRTHDAY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONYA! I will probably only blog every other day, internet costs us $10/day, little to pricy. ENJOY
